Bulone Le Island Nature - Culture Trail was developed under the Bulone Islands Development Project, supported by Chaipattana Foundation. This trail was initially constructed to create a new tourist attraction in order to promote local economy and improve welfare of local people. However, from preliminary study, we found that the island’s pristine nature is at risk to be degraded by overdevelopment from tourism expansion. As a result, the trail also aims to promote conservation of Bulone Islands natural resources.

Visitors will walk pass natural forest, agricultural area and village, which allow them to see the connection of local people with nature and culture. This confirms that people can live with nature in harmony if there are good managements. In this case, we did not expect for only tourists but also local people to exploit this trail. We hope that the trail will make them understand the importance of local natural resources conservation.
