Scientists of Prince of Songkla University, Rueangrit Promdam, Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Natural History Museum, Faculty of Science and Pun Yeesin, Department of Technology and Industries, Faculty of Science and Technology, in association with Professor Peter Ng, Head of Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum, Singapore, jointly described Terrapotamon thungwa as a second new species of terrestrial long-legged crab of the genus Terrapotamon.

A network of scientists discovers a new species of woolly horseshoe bat from Southeast Asia. It is described from specimens held in museum collections and from recent field surveys by a network of researchers in Southeast Asian countries in forest habitats.

November 1-2, 2014, the Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Natural History Museum (PSUNHM), Faculty of Science had organized "Nature Camp" (Camp Season) at the Thale-Noi Nature and Wildlife Education Center, Patthalung Province.

A new genus and new species of the Old World false vampire bat (family Megadermatidae) is described based on specimens from Halabala Wildlife Research Station, the southernmost forest complex in peninsular Thailand. The paper reporting this discovery is published in the latest issue of Zootaxa.

The 2nd APRU Research Symposium on University Museums was a meeting where member universities gathered to share experience in the field of university museum. This year, the symposium was held by the National; University of Taiwan, Taipei, Republic of China.
