Every 3 years, the International Council of Museum (ICOM) has organized general meetings of museum professionals to share experience and present research in museology.

In 2013, the 23rd meeting was held at City of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, there were more than 2,000 participants. This year, the committee has granted 100 young museologists to join the conference; Mr. Yingyod Lapwong from the PSU Museum was among those grantees. He has participated in the conference and the workshop during 9th – 26th August, 2013. This opportunity gave him knowledge and experience for developing museum works in the future.
