Research Interests

I have been working on bat, and mainly focusing on SE Asian bat taxonomy and ecology. The research questions focus on taxonomic revision of SE Asian bat taxa, diversity of bats in Thailand and their geographic variation in echolocation. The research interest also includes the survey of diversity and distribution of other small mammals e.g. rodents, and birds in peninsular Thailand.

Current and recent research activities

  • 2016-2020: Small mammal communities in lowland rainforest of peninsular Thailand
  • 2016-2017: Biological data inventory and assessment for the nomination of the Northern Mountain Forest Complex, Myanmar as a World Heritage Site
  • 2015: Cave-dwelling bats in Myanmar
  • 2014-2016: Systematics of false vampire bats
  • 2011-2016: Biodiversity of cave-dwelling animals in limestone caves in peninsular Thailand
  • 2010-2013: Taxonomic review of tube-nosed bats genus Murina in mainland SE Asia
  • 2007-2010: Taxonomic review of the some bats in genus Rhinolophus (horseshoe bats) in SE Asia
